Support Your Local Pollinators!

Every since Mary's bee petting (see the About page!) days, our family has been excited about pollinators.  We really get excited seeing the bees and hummingbirds flocking to our flowers.  Last summer, I came to the realization that when we support local farmers, and of course flower farmers specifically, we are helping the local bee population.  Your purchase of flowers from a local flower farmer really does make a difference!

Here at Country Road Flowers, we want to be a producer, not a just a consumer.   Besides growing flowers (of course!) we do our best to use only thrifted and repurposed vases and mugs.  In doing so, we can support local thrift shops, who are often there to help support the community.  There are occasions that may call for new vases, but we most prefer new-to-us!

If you know of a source of vases, please contact us!  We would love to trade a box of vases from your basement for some fresh flowers this summer!

All this helps us focus our resources on planting amazing flowers to both bring you joy and bring a delicious source of pollen and nectar to Pennsylvania pollinators!
